The exhibition follows the changes in the work of painter and graphic artist Jan Honsa, a pupil of Mařák's famous landscape school. From a young age, he was a loner with strong ties to the countryside and his native region, whose landscape became his inspiration. While early works unfold with the intentions of poetic realism and moody contemplations, stylized, decorative compositions gain in importance later. Honsa's painting style crystallizes into a distinctive position, which represents an original line in depicting the Czech countryside at the beginning of the 20th century.
