The Regional Gallery of Fine Arts in Zlín is mainly dedicated to the Czech and Slovak fine arts and architecture of the 19th up to the 21th century. It houses and gradually enlarges the artwork collection. It organizes exhibitions, educational programs and arranges additional events joining different culture branches. It aims to become a unique place of the uncommon education and of the active art encounters. One of the important gallery aims consists in supporting fine art events in the region.
The major gallery attraction is a newly opened permanent exhibition on the second floor of the building No. 14 in the Zlín factory area into which the gallery has moved from the Culture House and the Zlín Castle in the spring of 2013. Furthermore, a new place for temporary exhibitions has been built on the first floor.
Moreover, the gallery offers to its visitors the possibility to study the collection objects and to consult the topic of fine arts and architecture. Besides, there is a large specialized library and a study place at their disposal. Following its program the gallery releases the specialized publications, including a magazine Prostor Zlín which is published each trimester.
