The exhibition project, prepared to mark the 70th anniversary of the gallery’s founding, presents a selection of drawings and prints by leading Czech artists that were transferred to the property of the Gallery of Fine Arts of the Gottwaldov Region after its establishment on 20 November 1953 from the collections of the nationalized Baťa’s company. This wellknown Zlín company initiated the organisation of exhibitions of contemporary Czech and Slovak art in 1936 and built the first publicly accessible gallery through the regular purchase of artworks.
